<Anchor> The

typhoon has also caused great damage to Mt. Seorak and Mt. Odae.

It is said that there are many sections that have disappeared in several places on the trail, so there is no guarantee until the fall foliage season.

Reporter Cho Jae-geun came to the scene.

<Reporter> It

is a valley heading to Seoraksan Rock Rock and Ulsan Rock.

A trail that is 3 meters wide and 100 meters long has been cut into pieces.

Stone retaining walls and dirt roads in the valley were lost by the strong current, and the iron railing was pulled out without force.

About 200 meters of the trail leading to Biryong Falls disappeared without a trace, as if cut with a knife.

[Choi Jong-oh/Seoraksan Disaster Safety Manager: A trail that was 3 meters wide and 5 meters high was running all the way to the end.

The trail was lost due to the flooding of water, and a new waterway was created in its place.]

Naeseorak in Inje-gun is also severely damaged.

The 6km trail and facilities along this valley leading to the Baekdamsa Temple and Suryeom-dong shelter were lost or damaged by this typhoon.

The two typhoons caused nearly 1,000 millimeters of heavy rain to pour over Mt. Seorak.

As rapids hit each valley, 10km of trails such as Cheonbul-dong and Suryeum-dong valleys were lost.

We cannot guarantee the reopening of the trail not only during the Chuseok holiday, but also during the autumn leaves next month.

[Jong-oh Choi/Seoraksan Disaster Safety Manager: It is a little difficult to secure heavy equipment due to a lot of flood damage.

Even with secured heavy equipment, it is difficult to move materials because the trail is located at a high altitude.] The

trail 5km was damaged in the section of Odaesan Seonjae-gil and Sogeumgang River.

The National Park Service is planning to rush emergency recovery until the fall foliage season, but the size and section of the damage is so large and wide that some sections are expected to be closed.
