A virtual Apple keynote on September 15 (but not for the iPhone 12)

Apple is adapting to the pandemic.

The Californian company announced on Tuesday a keynote for September 15, which will be, like the WWDC conference in June, virtual.

But except big surprise, the company which was worth 2,000 billion should only present two new models of its Apple Watch and a redesign of the iPad air.

According to Bloomberg, the iPhone 12 is late due to the lockdown at the start of the year in China and will not be presented until October.

In its invitation to the press, Apple has also focused on its watch, with the index "time flies" (time flies).

It should decline its new watch in two versions (premium and classic), trim the edges of the iPad Air and launch a compact model of its HomePod speaker.

While Apple generally presents its new iPhones in September for release before the end of the month, it will be necessary to wait a few more weeks this year, coronavirus requires.

After three editions with an almost identical design (iPhone X, XS and 11 Pro), Apple should this year change the chassis.

It will also be the first iPhone launched since the departure of its chief designer Jony Ive, who left to create his own company, and who now only acts as a consultant.

According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 12 should be strongly inspired by the design of the iPhone 4 - one of Apple's most successful - with a metallic border with sharper angles than the curves of the latter years, and an edge-to-edge screen.
