Together with reporter Jeong Gu-hee, I will summarize the characteristics of this typhoon and whether another typhoon is coming in the future.

Q. Are you completely free from the effects of the typhoon?

That's right.

They were all out of the area of direct influence of the typhoon.

If you look at the route of the typhoon now, today (7th) at 9 o'clock in the morning, I passed the coast of Ulsan and the coast of Gangneung at 1:30 pm.

As such, the typhoon will soon disappear. Today, as the typhoon headed north, it rained 540mm in Hallasan and 200mm in Busan and Gyeongju, and even in the case of Jinburyeong, more than 300mm rain poured.

The typhoon will disappear soon, but in the case of the east coast of Gangwon-do, the wave will be very high until tomorrow, and even in the inland areas, the wind blows stronger than usual, so you should be careful until tomorrow.

Q. Where was the strongest wind?

Today the east coast region was very strong.

And Pohang is the strongest region. In Pohang, very strong winds of 42m/s and 152km/h were observed.

As the typhoon came to the west and inland a little more than expected, it seems that in the case of Pohang, it was part of the danger class of the typhoon.

And in the case of the snow of a typhoon, the wind is not very strong when it enters the snow, and the wind starts to get stronger from around the snow.

Because of this, it seems that the wind in Pohang, which is a little farther from the typhoon's eyes, was the strongest than in Ulsan and Busan, where the typhoon landed.

Q. The typhoon that landed unexpectedly and the landing point are controversial?

In fact, at the beginning, the Meteorological Administration said that just yesterday, the typhoon would not land inland, but along the coast and along the east coast.

But in reality, I landed in Ulsan and said this.

The data you are viewing is the'Typhoon Eye' data.

The ground air pressure observed from the ground, but the lowest air pressure is the eye of a typhoon.

Therefore, you can see the snow of the typhoon continuously rising along the inland. In fact, you can see the typhoon landing in Busan at around 8:30 this morning.

Because of this, unlike the observation of the Meteorological Administration, it is said that a typhoon has landed in Busan, not Ulsan.

In fact, even in the case of the US Typhoon Joint Warning Center and JTWC, the landing point of the typhoon is considered as Busan.

Therefore, whether the typhoon landed in Busan or Ulsan, the damage experienced by this is not great, but in the case of a typhoon landing point, the typhoon landing point is an index that evaluates the analysis ability of the typhoon and the forecasting ability of the typhoon. Whether it is Ulsan or not, it seems necessary to accurately verify it.

Q. Does Typhoon No. 11 immediately follow?

Today, Typhoon No. 11 is coming again, Typhoon No. 12 is coming right away. There have been reports like this, but it doesn’t seem to happen for the time being.

The reason is that you have to look at the sea surface temperature. Actually, the places where the sea level is higher than normal are marked with red color, and those lower than normal are marked with cool color.

Then, in the case of last week, the whole sea was looking red and the sea level was higher than normal, but this is today.

In today's case, we can see that the sea level has been much lower than normal.

Four typhoons passed in succession, consuming a lot of seawater energy, and accordingly, the sea surface temperature dropped considerably.

If the sea level is lowered, the number of typhoons may decrease, and moreover, tropical pressure troughs, the most important factor in the occurrence of typhoons, are unlikely to occur for the time being.

Therefore, the meteorological authorities around the world, including the Korea Meteorological Administration, predict that there will be no typhoons for at least 10 days.
