A stepfather and mother who had been strangled to die after giving a junior high school daughter sleeping pills were sentenced to 30 years in prison.

The Supreme Court confirmed the court case sentenced to 30 years in prison at the appeal of the stepfather A (32) and his mother B (39), who were charged with murder or abandonment of the body.

They conspired and were charged with strangling their daughter C (12), a middle school student, in a car in a farm road in Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do last April, and discarding her body in a reservoir.

Mr. A is also accused of harassing his stepdaughter.

Just before his death, Ms. C, with the help of his father, reported Mr. A to the police for sexual harassment.

It was investigated that Mr. A persuaded Mr. B to commit the crime together as if Ms. C had a bigger fault when the fact of the harassment became known.

The first trial admitted all of the charges and sentenced each to 30 years in prison. They appealed that the punishment was too heavy, but the second trial was also sentenced to the same sentence as the first trial.
