The city of Seoul filed a lawsuit for damages worth 500 million won next week against Sarangjeil Church in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, and Pastor Jeon Kwang-hoon, the senior pastor, who was recently pointed out as the epicenter of the corona 19 re-proliferation situation.

According to the city of Seoul, the city plans to submit a complaint next week, claiming a portion of the amount that can be clearly calculated at the present stage, such as the amount paid by the city of the cost of treatment and examination for confirmed patients.

In addition, the City is reviewing claims for damages for indirect damages, such as other administrative expenses incurred in epidemiological investigations and expenses from tax reduction, and is conducting legal review and data collection.

However, it is said that this indirect part will take a long time to be calculated and will not be included in the first complaint to be submitted next week.

Prior to this, on the 31st of last month, the National Health Insurance Corporation announced its policy to file a lawsuit for damages of KRW 5.5 billion, which was paid by the Corporation among the 1,35 confirmed patients from Sarang First Church as of noon on the same day. .
