At Gimhae Airport in Busan, a man in his 50s was caught at a security checkpoint while trying to head to Jeju with a large amount of drugs.



The Busan Metropolitan Police Agency's drug investigation team said it was investigating a man in his 50s on charges of taking or possessing drugs.



Yesterday (1st) at around 9:05 am, security officers discovered that he had methamphetamine and hemp in his pants while passing through the security checkpoint to catch a flight to Jeju on the second floor of the domestic terminal at Gimhae Airport.



The methamphetamine that Mr. A was in possession reached 10.1g and hemp was 1.3g.



It is said that methamphetamine 10g can be administered by 330 people at the same time, reaching tens of millions of won per cigar.



Mr. A is reported to have tested positive for methamphetamine administration.



The airport police officers who were reported and dispatched arrested Mr. A as the current offender and handed him over to the drug investigation unit of the Busan Police Agency.



The police said, "We applied for an arrest warrant for Mr. A and are investigating the details of the crime."
