The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Corona 19 Analysis Response Team revealed that from the 24th to the 28th of this month, 112 reports related to the non-wearing of masks were received in total, with a total of 1,280 cases, and an average of 256 cases per day.

The police said that this was more than 17 times more than 15 reports related to non-wearing of masks received on average per day for three months from May 26 to August 23 prior to the mandatory mask action.

Of the 1,280 reported cases, the police filed 31 criminal charges, arrested 2 people, and imposed fines in 10 cases.

Among the cases of being arrested as current criminals, there were cases of making a fuss while protesting to an employee to wear a mask to enter at a convenience store, restaurant, sauna, etc.

The police said that 773 other cases were dispatched to the scene and took measures for the subject to wear a mask, and the remaining 466 cases were false, misleading, or duplicate reports.
