Two Korean sailors were kidnapped by gunmen off the coast of Ghana, West Africa.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the like, on the morning of the 28th at 8:04 am local time, a Ghanaian fishing vessel 500t class'AP703', which was fishing in a sea area about 200km south of Togo Lome Port, was attacked by militants.

Two Korean sailors and 48 local sailors in Ghana were on board this fishing boat.

It is reported that only two of the militants, among them, Korean sailors, transferred to another ship and flee to Nigeria.

The identity and exact location of the abductees are currently unknown, and the safety of Korean sailors has not yet been determined.

The remaining 48 Ghanaian sailors are currently returning to Ghana aboard AP703.

An official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will immediately set up a countermeasure headquarters for the protection of overseas citizens at the headquarters and an emergency countermeasure team at the relevant diplomatic offices, and work closely with authorities such as domestic authorities and Ghana and Nigeria to make all efforts to release the victims."
