<Anchor> I

'll also give you a bitter single report. I keep telling you that people who do not wear masks on buses and subways are still talking about it, and that happened again today (27th). It happened on the way to work in Seoul Subway Line 2, and it was also filmed.

This is an exclusive report by Sohee Han.

<Reporter>

This morning rush hour inside Seoul Subway Line 2.

A man casually smacks a seated passenger in a slipper.

[(You just have to do what you need to do. It doesn't matter.) It's an offense.]

Even towards other passengers nearby,

[Why are you doing that? XX guys.]

I spoke swear words, pushed them, and struck my throat.

The assaulted passengers don't hold back, but they smear with fists and the passengers try to dry it, but

[(let's go!) don't do this.] The

man who started the assault first picks up an umbrella on the floor and throws it.

I can't beat the minute and run around in the subway.

The riots ended only after the subway stopped at the next station and station staff and police arrived.

The assault stems from a quarrel over wearing a mask.

[Witness: Two passengers without masks are talking out loud. The passenger on the other side told me to wear a mask. Run and beat… .]

The police are investigating and arresting A, a man in his 50s who assaulted passengers.

After making it mandatory to wear masks on public transportation at the end of May, the police received about 350 related cases.

There were many middle-aged people.

115 people were in their 60s or older, followed by 83 people in their 50s.
