There are many daycare centers closed nationwide. 'Emergency care' is being operated for dual-income couples who are in trouble in this situation, but parents can't relax as children flock here.

This is reporter Je Hee-won.

<Reporter> The

metropolitan area, Daejeon, Chungbuk, Gwangju, and Ulsan are nine local governments that have decided to close all daycare centers in the building.

If this is the current trend, there are more and more daycare centers closed.

The most anxious thing is the dual-income parents.

[Double-income parents: (Childcare center) I have no choice but to send, I can't go on a leave of work. Because I am anxious and have a living after leaving that... .]

In order to prevent such a care gap, daycare centers are providing emergency childcare. The problem is that the rate of use of this emergency childcare has already exceeded 80% in the metropolitan area, and closing measures are unclear.

Kindergartens and schools manage the density by limiting the number of attendance to a certain level, but daycare centers are not limited.

[Daycare teacher: It is said that the park is closed indefinitely, but all the children are coming. It is impossible to keep social distancing while playing, and I am grateful that I pass by without anything happening day by day.]

Because of this, many families have decided to take care of their children again at home.

[Family-informed parents: Children eat together and take a nap at the daycare center. Since we are in very close contact with each other, we chose family education again.]

The government extends the support period for family care leave until the end of the next month after the start of the second semester.
