The government has announced that it will issue a'business commencement order' to doctors in metropolitan hospitals who have left the medical field.

Minister of Health and Welfare Park Neung-hoo released a speech to the public today (22nd) and urged the medical community, which foretold the general strike, to "protect the medical field."

"Protecting the lives and safety of the people is a top priority given to the government," said Minister Park, saying, "If medical personnel do not observe the medical field, we will take all necessary measures."

In response to all necessary actions, the Ministry of Health and Welfare explained that it would soon issue an order to commence business.

The government and local governments initiate business to the relevant medical person or medical institution establishment if there is considerable reason to admit that medical personnel discontinue treatment without justifiable reason, or that medical institution establishments are closed or closed as a group, causing enormous obstacles to or may cause treatment. You can order.

Failure to comply with this order without good cause could result in suspension of your license, imprisonment for up to three years, or a fine of up to 30 million won.

If you are disqualified as a medical officer for violating the medical law, it is recognized as a reason for disqualification of medical personnel, and your license may be revoked.

Minister Park also said, "We will focus all our capabilities on stabilizing the Corona 19 crisis. We will discuss with the medical community after the situation in the metropolitan area has stabilized regarding the expansion of the medical school quota and the establishment of a public medical school that medical organizations are raising issues." Said.

However, the Korean Medical Association (Medical Association) responded to the government's intention to reserve related policies, saying, ``This is an unreliable political investigation that has opened room for policy re-implementation in the near future,'' and announced that it will proceed with the general strike as scheduled.

The Korean Council of Majorities (Daejeon Association), consisting of doctors of majors, is scheduled to go on strike indefinitely, starting with interns and 4th year residents, 3rd year residents, 1st and 2nd year residents, etc.

The medical association, centered on practitioners, also announced the second general strike of national doctors for three days from the 26th.
