Ministry of Education said that a total of 96 people, including 83 students and 13 faculty members, were confirmed nationwide for 8 days from the 11th to the 18th.

77 people, 80% of the total, were concentrated in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province.

Accordingly, today (19th) at a meeting with 17 city and provincial superintendents of education held by Deputy Prime Minister Yoo Eun-hye and Minister of Education,'To prevent the spread of Corona 19 even in non-metropolitan areas, the school density has been reduced to 2/3 level by September 11th. I agreed to keep it.

Earlier, from yesterday to September 11, the Ministry of Education had to keep the number of attendance at kindergartens and elementary and junior high schools in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon at one-third of the total and two-thirds of high schools. After making a move to expand, we held a meeting today and agreed as such.

In addition, until the 30th, we will check whether large private institutes with more than 300 employees have stopped operating in accordance with an order prohibiting gatherings, jointly with the metropolitan and provincial offices of education and local governments.

The Ministry of Education also conducts quarantine and learning care checks.

First of all, we decided to resume the self-diagnosis survey three days before the start of school and have a special monitoring period for one or two weeks after the start of school to check students with suspicious symptoms.

Self-diagnosis begins in September, and not only students but also faculty members participate.

In addition, in order to prevent the gap in academic ability between students due to distance classes, we plan to support online self-study content and help 12,700 students learn at 130 integrated learning clinic centers at the Office of Education.
