Pastor Gwang-Hoon Jeon of Sarangjeil Church in Seoul was confirmed as Corona 19 and was transferred to the Seoul Medical Center last night (17th). Sinchon Severance Hospital also closed the ophthalmic building due to a corona 19 confirmed case related to this church.

Since the first confirmation on the 12th, the number of cumulative confirmed cases from Sarangjeil Church in Seoul reached 319 by noon yesterday.

The city of Seoul revealed that 52 people were newly infected with this church by 6 pm yesterday, and the cumulative confirmed number seems to have exceeded 370.

Yesterday, Pastor Kwang-Hoon Jeon, the senior pastor of this church, was transferred to the Seoul Medical Center after being diagnosed with Corona 19.

Even after being confirmed, the pastor was talking on the phone while wearing a mask on his chin before boarding the public health center vehicle.

The infection that started at Sarangjeil Church in Seoul has also spread to large hospitals in downtown Seoul.


The ophthalmology building was closed due to a confirmed case from Sarangjeil Church at Shinchon Severance Hospital in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul.

A nurse working at an ophthalmology hospital was tested positive yesterday, and Mr. A visited Sarangjeil Church on the 9th and held a worship service.

Today, a total of two confirmed cases at Severance Hospital were confirmed by an additional corona19 confirmed by an employee working in the same building as Mr. A.

The hospital is shutting down the entire ophthalmology hospital and conducting quarantine work, while making sure there are no additional contacts.
