Gyeonggi Province has issued an administrative order that requires masks to be worn in the province. This is the second mandatory mask wear, following Daegu in May, and we will connect with reporters to see if these measures to strengthen quarantine are being followed.

Reporter Hong Young-jae, where are you out now?

<Reporter>

I am now on a rodeo street near Songnae Station in Bucheon, Gyeonggi-do.

Gyeonggi Province issued an administrative order that it is mandatory to wear masks in cafes and restaurants from 1:30 pm today (18th).

You can take off your mask when eating and drinking, and if it is unavoidable, you must wear a mask in places where you gather for a specific purpose, such as a performance or a meeting, even in open areas such as a plaza.

Usually, wearing a mask is not mandatory on the street, but if you frequently move to places where there are many people, such as public transportation or multi-use facilities, it is better to always wear a mask.

Also, since Songnae Station across the street is on the boundary line between Incheon and Bucheon, if you have moved from Incheon to Bucheon in the Gyeonggi-do area, you should always be careful to wear a mask because the administrative district changes.

So, if you are caught without wearing a mask in Gyeonggi-do, can you be punished?

<Reporter>

Yes, first of all, Gyeonggi Province announced that it would crack down on whether or not to wear a mask at the local government level.

Also, even if someone reports that they did not wear a mask, it is possible to crack down.

If caught, a fine of 3 million won or less or a fine of 100,000 won or less will be imposed according to the infectious disease prevention method.

However, it was decided to give the guidance period until October 12, and Gyeonggi Province also said that if damage occurs due to not wearing a mask, it can also charge for quarantine.
