A court sentenced a jail sentence to a man in his 70s who forcibly harassed a high school student on the bus.

Jeju District Court 2nd Criminal Division (Judge Chan-soo Jang) was handed over to trial on charges of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (Assault in Public Places) and Violation of the Act on Sexual Protection of Children and Adolescents (Forced Harassment). It was announced today (18th) that Mr. A was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison.

Mr. A was charged with touching the thighs of Ms. B with her hands several times after sitting next to each of the 16-year-old B who was sitting in a bus running around Jeju City on March 18 at 4:40 pm.

Mr. A, who denied his crimes, admitted to the charges, saying, "It was impulsively that his hand went over his leg when he presented the photograph taken by Miss B as evidence." However, even after that, "I touch it while chasing it, and I don't do that. Rather, there are cases where a woman asks you to touch it," and he continued the absurd'last word'.

In addition, he submitted a petition to the court with an absurd content, "I heard that there is a flower snake among female students. I pray that the victim is not a flower snake."

As a result of a police investigation, it was revealed that in 2016, Mr. A was sentenced to four months in prison and one year probation for the same crime.

The judge pointed out this attitude of Mr. A and criticized, "In light of the accused's statement and the attitude that emerged during the trial, it is questionable whether he is willing to seriously reflect on his fault and improve his prevalence."

"The defendant has not been forgiven by the victim or the victim's guardian, and is not making any efforts to recover the damage."
