Today (9th) night, Seoul is also unsafe. Like today, it may rain again at any time. In addition, the water level of the Han River rises again as the water continues to descend from the upstream, so we are controlling all traffic to Olympic Highway, Gangbyeonbuk-ro, and Dongbu Arterial Road. We will report the current situation in Seoul and connect with reporters outside and check the way to work tomorrow morning.

First, reporter Kang Min-woo.

I squeeze my body out of the storm, and I try to open my umbrella with difficulty, but it turns over.

The parking lot and roads around the Han River where the heavy rain warning was issued were filled with water again.

This morning, a road subsidence accident occurred near the subway construction site in Gangdong-gu, Seoul due to weakening of the ground.

This is where there was originally a crossing in front of the school.

But now, as the road is turned off, the shape is in a state of being unrecognizable, and if you look inside, you can see the water pipes and various cables are disconnected.

A large amount of rainwater flowed into the water supply pipe repair site, resulting in the loss of soil below, causing the road to sink.

No one was injured, but tap water was cut off in over 30 households nearby, and part of the road is still under control due to restoration work.

The entire road is empty, in contrast to the roads that are crowded with cars.

Controls on major roads in Seoul, which were mostly released in the early morning of yesterday, resumed with the rise of the Han River.

All sections of the Dongbu Arterial Road, Olympic Road, Nodeul Road, and some sections of Gangbyeonbuk-ro were controlled, leading to severe traffic congestion throughout the city.

About 10 major roads in Seoul, which began to be re-controlled one by one starting this morning, are being controlled, including the existing control section.

The city of Seoul said that control sections could be added at any time due to the rise of the Han River, and requested that you check traffic control information before driving.
