48th day, damage is continuing across the country in the rainy season going up and down in the southern and central regions. Typhoon Rose, which is rapidly traveling north, is expected to land near Tongyeong, Gyeongsangnam-do in the afternoon after it is closest to Jeju in about two hours. First, let's look at the situation in Jeju at this time.

Reporter Kim Yeon-sun, JIBS, please tell us the situation.

Yes, I am now in Beophwanpo-gu, Seogwipo City.

Typhoon advisories are now in effect all over Jeju. It rained and stopped repeatedly.

The wind is not blowing strong yet. However, as the typhoon approaches in the future, strong rain and wind are expected to intensify.

Currently, Typhoon Rose No. 5 is moving north toward Jeju at a speed of 39 km/h from 240 km south of Seogwipo, Jeju.

Currently, according to the Meteorological Administration's route, the typhoon is expected to be closest to Jeju around 9 am.

Typhoon Rose is a small typhoon with a central air pressure of 998 hectopascals, but there is a concern that the damage caused by rain is particularly great as it drives a strong rain cloud.

Currently, heavy rain warnings are issued in the Sangan area.

Today, 50 to 150 mm of rain is expected to fall all over Jeju, and up to 250 mm more is expected to fall in mountainous areas.

I am also concerned about the damage caused by the wind. A strong wind with an instantaneous wind speed of 20 to 30 km per second will blow.

Wind shear and typhoon warnings are currently in effect at Jeju International Airport. It is expected that delays and cancellations will occur in the future.

The ferry service was completely controlled by passenger ships going to Jeju. Since last night, a typhoon warning went into effect on the Jeju coast, and more than 2,000 ships are in refuge at each port pier.

The Jeju Self-Governing Province's Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters has entered emergency work and has called for special attention to prevent typhoon damage.
