The search for the missing people of the ship overturn accident at the Uam Dam in Chuncheon, Gangwon, ended at 6:30 in the evening today (6th).

Authorities will resume search operations after sunrise in the morning.

Today, 835 people including firefighting and police, 7 helicopters, and 100 equipment including drones and lifeboats were used for the search.

In the afternoon, the rain stopped in these areas, but due to the heavy rains that rained for several days, the flow rate was very strong and the water was muddy, so the search operation suffered.

Earlier today, at about 11:30 am, the police boat, which was in the process of fixing aquatic islands at 500m above the Seomyeonam Dam in Chuncheon City, sank, and civilian rubber boats and Chuncheon City Hall administrative ships were rescued and all three were overturned, causing seven people to disappear.

Kwak Mo, a 68-year-old missing person, was rescued in the deserted state near the Chunseong Bridge downstream of Uiam Dam at 12:58 during the day, and at the same time, a 68-year-old Mo was found dead near Gapyeong Nami Island Pier.

In addition, a life jacket, believed to be from the 55-year-old Lee Mo, who disappeared near the Nami Island dock, was discovered.
