In the metropolitan area and in the central region, the heavy rains have continued for six days, and the damage is growing out of control.

As of today (6th) at 6 am, the Central Disaster Safety Response Headquarters said 16 people were killed and 11 were lost due to heavy rain.

Since yesterday, more than 2,000 people have been evacuated from Cheorwon, Gangwon, Yeoncheon, and Paju, Gyeonggi Province due to the heavy rains on the border area.

As the water level of the Han River increased due to the discharge of the Paldang Dam and the Soyang River Dam, vehicles were controlled from all over Seoul's main roads early in the morning. This resulted in serious traffic jams on the way to work in the morning.

From last night, the section between Dongjak Bridge and Yeomchang Naedokmok in Olympic Boulevard has been fully controlled, and from 3:50 am, the traffic on the Dongbu Expressway Seongsu Underground Road to Seongsu JC has been fully controlled.

In addition, two-way between the northern end of Gangwonbuk-ro Wonhyo Bridge and the entrance of the Medical Association, the inner ring road between the Majang Lamp and Seongsu JC, the Nodeul Han River Bridge to Yeoui downstream IC section, the Jeungsan Bridge Underpass, and the Sacheon Bridge Underpass are also controlled.
