Using the same WhatsApp account on several devices simultaneously will soon be possible, reports the specialized site Android Police . The latest beta of the Android app brings up a new feature that ends the current limitation. Today, the use of messaging is limited to a single device, identified by a phone number.

Up to four connected devices

This functionality is present in a new section called “Linked Devices” which replaces the one called “WhatsApp Web / Desktop”. This section allows you to view which devices are linked to the WhatsApp account. At the moment, the user can only connect four devices which can be smartphones, computers or tablets.

This feature will change the way instant messaging is used. Currently, it is only possible to use WhatsApp on a computer by scanning a QR code via your smartphone. It is also possible to connect to your WhatsApp account on another smartphone, but not simultaneously.

A pitfall that this next function will remove, which we do not yet know when it will be integrated into the application.
