joint surveillance team consisting of 40 people from 7 agencies, including the police and firefighting, conducted a six-hour identification on the 4th basement floor.

The cause of the fire could not be identified because the area of the 4th basement floor was over 30,000 square meters and the inside was severely damaged.

The police, however, drew a line on the possibility of a car explosion that some on-site employees discussed.

[Kim Ki-heon/Deputy Chief of Yongin-dong Police Department: As it was known in some places, it was concluded that the fire was not caused by an external physical shock or a vehicle explosion.]

There are three Ottogi frozen warehouses on one side of the fourth floor of the warehouse.

The fire is believed to have originated in the western freezer.

All five of the actual deaths were found near the emergency exit in front of the freezer on the other side, and it is possible that they suffocated while running in the opposite direction of the ignition point.

At the time of the fire, the fire authorities confirmed that all of the firefighting facilities, such as sprinklers and fire alarms in the warehouse, were operating normally, but the fires spread quickly on the urethane foam coated on the wall, and it is believed that the fatalities were not evacuated.

The police, which are summoning and investigating the company's officials, will decide whether to conduct additional joint identification based on the results of the identification.

Also, if necessary, we are also considering seizure and search for related companies.
