A series of reports on the last six months that Corona 19 changed, today (21st) is the second order. Let's listen to the stories of people who had to spend a hard day because of unexpected economic difficulties.

Reporter Choi Jae-young will tell.

Our reporter met a tourist guide who lost his job in Corona four months ago.

It was difficult, but I said hope.

[I'm a tourist guide (taken last March): (What are you going to do in the future? Are you going to keep doing this?) Yes, I started doing this because I liked it... (At a travel agency) Know that nothing will happen until September… .]

I met him again.

[Ex-tour guide: In September, it wasn't quite easy to say that (corona) calmed down.]

I looked for jobs here and there, but only temporary or short-term jobs.

[Ex-tour guide: I work as a daily worker, and what I have done so far is a part-time job… The house is ringing. I saved some money. I am forgetting the money I had saved for a new home.]

Like this , the number of'unstable workers' who do not receive unemployment benefits while their employment is not stable is estimated at about 2.2 million.

The government is providing emergency employment security assistance to these unstable workers, but it is not enough.

[Kim Sung-Hee/Graduate School of Labor, Korea University: There is not enough bucket to support the rain. There were people who were at high risk (through corona) and actually confirmed that they were being hit.]

Corona 6 months. Although the jobs were kept, the number of workers who went on leave was increased.

[Shim Gyu-deok/Asiana Airlines Trade Union Chairperson: Easta Airways has 1,600 people unpaid for several months after shutdown. No work, zero wages, the same thing as the unemployed… .]

[Young-Moo Cho/LG Economic Research Fellow: When this situation lasts for more than 6 months, these people (temporary leave) are now classified as unemployed and not unemployed by statistical classification. .]

I've had a harder six months, especially if I need to contact someone else.

[Go Sujin/Water Purifier Visitor: The salary has decreased, and Corona cannot stay for a long time (at the customer's home), so it's difficult to talk about business... .]

[Seonghee Kim/Graduate School of Labor, Korea University: Although we are said to be the 10th largest economy in the world, it is clear that this level of safety net protection was very low… .]

About 59 trillion won was added, but there are still limits to protecting the economically weak.

Corona 6 months, it's time to re-examine where the weak links in our society are always broken first when it's difficult.
