A villager in Okcheon-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do, found a boiler room fire thanks to the cries of a pet cat and prevented further damage.

According to the Okcheon Fire Station, a fire broke out at a boiler room in Lee Won-myeon at 11:50 pm on the 19th.

The fire extinguished in 28 minutes after burning the boiler room and causing 10 million won of property damage (fire estimate).

"When I was sleeping in the room, I heard a cat cry and came out, but the fire came out of the boiler room and reported it to 119," said the owner, A(55).

The fire spread to some houses, causing damage to the kitchen, but not much.

An official from the Okcheon Fire Department said, “My cat is crying with a sharp sound and raving more than usual, so I know that the owner is awake.”

Police and fire departments are investigating the exact fines based on Mr. A's comments that the firewood boiler was cleaned and operated around 5 pm on the day.
