800,000 residents of Gyeyang-gu and Bupyeong-gu, Incheon receive and use this water.

After the first larvae were found at the Gongchon Water Purification Plant in Incheon last week, other water purification plants were investigated, and worms that appeared to be the same larva were found in the Bupyeong Water Purification Plant and in three corresponding reservoirs.

It was not found in the previous two general investigations, but it was confirmed by the detailed investigation.

This is the first time that a larva has been identified in a family home in another area in Incheon other than the jurisdiction of the Gongchon Water Purification Plant.

Yesterday afternoon, a report was received that an larva was found in an apartment in Unjeong New City in Paju, Gyeonggi-do.

There is an object that appears to be a caterpillar on the sink, which is similar to the tap water caterpillar found in Incheon.

Officials from Paju City and the Han River Water Resources Corporation, who conducted a field survey, said that they did not find any traces of larva as a result of checking the apartment reservoir and shower filter.
