Seoul Central District Court Judge Dong-Hyun Kim issued an arrest warrant last night (17th) for reporter Lee Dong-jae of Channel A.

Judge Kim said there is considerable material to suspect that the former reporter tried to intimidate the victim by connecting with a high-ranking prosecutor to achieve a specific coverage objective.

In addition, he emphasized that there is a high fear of destroying evidence, and that the investigation is inevitable even in order to find out the truth and restore the trust of the media and the prosecution.

Former reporter Lee Chul is accused of failing to compel the former president of Value Invest Korea, who is in prison, forcing him to suffer a penalty if he does not reveal his or her passport personnel criticism.

As warrants are issued, the investigation is likely to take place.

In particular, it is expected that the investigation of prosecutor Han Dong-hoon, prosecutor Yoon Seok-yeol, appointed by the prosecution as an accomplice, will accelerate.

A prosecutor is reportedly not responding to the prosecution's report, claiming that the investigation was a duke manipulated by some political and media outlets.

On the 24th, a prosecution investigation committee will be held to judge the validity of the prosecution of the case, and the result will be an important variable for future investigations.
