Supreme Court makes a final decision today (16th) on Gyeonggi Governor Lee Jae-myung, who was sentenced to invalidate in the second trial due to suspicion of forced hospitalization. Today's trial, which took office on whether or not to remain in the office, is broadcast live across the country.

There are two main charges received by Governor Lee Jae-myeong, who is about to be sentenced to the Supreme Court this afternoon.

When he served as Mayor of Seongnam in June 2012, he ordered his brother to be hospitalized in a mental hospital, charged with expropriation of authority to enforce the hospitalization procedure despite medical staff rejection, and in the last year's local election TV debate with the intention of'no such thing'. It is alleged to have published a false fact.

In both the first and second trials, the alleged abuse of authority was innocent, but the judgment on the false publicity charges in the Public Officials Election Act was mixed.

Unlike the first trial, which was convicted of innocence, the second trial was a false statement of a 3 million won penalty for ineffective election.

Therefore, the political life of Governor Lee Jae-myeong is determined by the Supreme Court's judgment on the alleged publicity.

During the past three months, the Supreme Court focused on whether Governor Lee's remarks were specific enough to influence voter judgment, and whether they were willful.

If the Supreme Court accepts the judgment of the second trial as it is, Governor Lee Jae-myeong loses his office as governor, and if he repatriates the case, he will remain in office.

All trial proceedings starting at 2 pm will be broadcast live on TV and YouTube.

The governor is said to be absent from trial today.
