iPadOS can now restore closed windows - Geeko

By introducing iPadOS last year, Apple sought to offer its users an experience close to that which one can have on a computer. A desire that has notably gone through the introduction of multitasking. Users can now do several things at once on their iPad while viewing what they are doing simultaneously across multiple windows.

However, who says multitasking sometimes says error. A web window can easily be closed inadvertently. Until now, you had to manually return to the closed page or open the browsing history. Now, on an iPad, it is possible to reopen a recently closed Web window easily and simply.

When you close a web page, the message "Reopen closed window" appears on the top right of your screen. Just press it to restore the page to your iPad. By pressing the little extra next, you can choose a recently closed web window from a list of several proposals.

A discreet evolution

Rest assured, you will not have to wait for the deployment of iPadOS 14 to take advantage of it. The new functionality is indeed available since at least iPadOS 13.3 report our colleagues from iGen, but its introduction went completely unnoticed.

A secondary feature, of course, which is nonetheless very practical - especially when you know it exists.
