Amazon Prime Video is now also available on PC - Geeko

Until now, PC owners had to go through the Amazon website to access the e-commerce giant's Prime Video streaming platform. From now on, they will be able to go directly to the dedicated application, which they will be able to download from the Microsoft Store.

The provision of a dedicated application opens the doors to offline mode on PC. A function that was previously reserved for owners of smartphones and tablets. From now on, it will no longer be necessary to be connected to the network to see a film or series on the service since it will also be possible to launch the films stored on the hard disk, for example for a train or plane trip.

A still limited resolution

Although it is possible to view content in 4K on the platform, you will probably have to go through a full download to reach such a resolution, direct streaming limiting the resolution to 720p at the moment.

Amazon, however, says that the application should increase the resolution to 1080p streaming.
