The police started an investigation when a mother and grandmother had a 3-year-old child living near a pile of rubbish, and verbal violence was captured.
The Dongdaemun Police Station in Seoul said, “I received a report from the residents that my child was living in a dirty place and was being verbally abused by my family, and the child's mother and grandmother were accused of child abuse.”
Police are also investigating the application of negligence under the Child Welfare Act for investigating mothers and grandmothers and other family members who have lived together to keep children near the garbage.
The child has been transferred to a shelter.
Police are also checking for additional violence in addition to verbal violence.
