Governor Yeong-Rok Jeonnam said today (5th) that he held a non-face-to-face briefing and said, “We will strengthen the quarantine measures by upgrading the quarantine stage to the second stage of social distance from the 6th.”

Governor Kim said, “The infection of the Corona 19 area is spreading at a frightening rate in Gwangju and Jeonnam areas after the metropolitan area, Chungcheong area, and Jeonbuk province. He said, "It is a serious situation that it is no longer possible to protect a clean Jeonnam just by'keeping a distance in life'."

As a main preventive measure, it is prohibited to hold more than 50 people indoors and more than 100 people outdoors.

It is also mandatory to wear a mask when using public transportation or restaurants and cafes.

Administrative measures that require the use of public transport masks and food service masks across the province are already in place.

It is also prohibited to visit the elderly nursing homes and elderly nursing homes.

From the 3rd of this month, these facilities have been subject to quasi-cohort quarantine, which prohibits visits and restricts access to residents and employees.

Multi-use facilities operated by public institutions are also suspended.

It is decided to consult with the Ministry of Education and the Provincial Office of Education as soon as possible about whether or not kindergarten and elementary and junior high school students will attend school.

Governor Kim said, “The most important prevention policy against corona 19 is the wearing of a mask, and even if it is difficult in hot weather, be sure to wear a mask anytime, anywhere. We ask that you actively and voluntarily follow the rules of quarantine."
