“Despite the recommendations of national legislation to use at least two types of animals to assess immunogenicity, Vector, realizing the importance of creating an effective drug, is testing vaccines in four types of animals,” RIA Novosti quoted Maksyutov as saying.
He added that vaccine trials are being conducted on mice, guinea pigs, rabbits and primates.
Maksyutov said earlier that three prototypes of the COVID-19 vaccine created in Russia during the tests showed effectiveness in the formation of immunity.
