“It is planned that during the expedition, one of the spaceflight participants, together with a professional Russian astronaut, will make spacewalks from the ISS Russian segment,” Energia reported.

The corporation noted that from 2001 to 2009 RSC Energia and Roscosmos together with Space Adventures Inc. performed eight short-term commercial flights to the ISS Russian segment on Soyuz spacecraft.

In October 2019, the executive director of Roscosmos Sergey Krikalev announced the completion of the Soyuz spacecraft for the flight of tourists to the International Space Station.

Also in June, the General Director of Glavkosmos Dmitry Loskutov spoke about the prospects of mass space tourism.
