In September 1950, Jung Ki-sook, a first-year student at Chuncheon Girls' High School, enlisted with three friends as a female cadet.

Grandmother Jung, who was in charge of propaganda in the frontline units, vividly remembers the harsh North Korean process.

After arriving at the Yalu River, the joy of putting reunification in front was briefly surrounded by the CCF two days later.

On October 25, 1950, during the 1st offensive of the CCF, they were taken prisoner and barely returned, but the two enlisted friends never returned.

Lee Bok-soon, a grandmother who joined the Women's Medical Corps when she was 17 years old.

He was in charge of administrative work in the 9th Division, but he was pushed back by the Chinese Army and kept the military documents to the end.

There were many women who participated in the school, military, civilian, and offensive classes without the army, as well as the army, sea, air force, and marines.

The 2,500 women who participated in the Korean War were identified to date.

Of these, only 1,427 were recognized as national merit.

Due to the lack of major records due to the many belonging to the support team, it was not properly illuminated and often did not actively disclose the facts of the war.


It seems that our society needs to pay attention to their sacrifice and devotion before the survivors of the Korean War, the survivors of the Korean War.
