Clinical trials are being conducted around the world for Corona19 vaccine. However, there are recent pessimistic reports that the vaccine will not be effective.

Reporter Dong-Chan Cho reports on why and why he is looking for alternatives.

World Health Organization vaccine special envoy Professor Navarro of the Royal University of England said last week about the Corona19 vaccine "may not work."

This is because a Chinese research team analyzed antibodies from Corona19 patients and found that it lasted only two or three months.

The vaccine was less effective than the actual virus, so it was considered less effective.

However, domestic experts expected to find a solution.

This is because, in the same study, people with symptoms had more than six times the amount of antibodies than asymptomatic cases, and the rate of disappearance of antibodies during recovery was much lower.

You can increase the effectiveness of the vaccine by narrowing the inoculation target to elderly and chronic patients with many cases, and adding an immune enhancer to amplify the antibody.

As the Corona19 virus changes little by little, there seems to be some urgency that the vaccine being made will not work.

[Hong Ki-jong/Editor of the Korean Society of Vaccine Society: Vaccine does not work anywhere, but because it works on large chunks, even if some deformation occurs, it is still effective or slightly less effective… .]

However, vaccines are not successful in all viruses, and trial and error is inevitable until effective vaccine development.

It is a story that it may not be easy to get an effective vaccine at the end of this year or early next year.
