Marshal Butler, 3, disappeared from his home on June 3 without anyone in his family noticing. The little boy, who suffers from autism, left the house where he lives with his parents in the town of Ponce de León, in Florida , and was not found until several hours later. What could have been a tragedy ended in a happy ending thanks to the work of his two dogs, Nala and Buckwheat , who found him before anyone else and took care of him until the police found him.

When the parents became aware of Marshal's absence, they called the police, who quickly set off in search of the little boy and the parents' anxiety about their son's autism. Neighbors, family and police searched for the boy for hours, until a neighbor in the area called, claiming that she had seen the boy approximately one kilometer from his home.

"We were in a panic," Kayla Stewart, Butler's aunt, told NBC. "The worst scenarios crossed our minds," he said.

When the officers arrived, Marshal was safe and sound , surrounded by the family's dogs, who found him and took care of him until the police located him. "His two dogs were there with him. We are grateful that the dogs took care of him. I guess they kept him safe," a neighbor told television.

After locating the little one, the parents did not hesitate to post on Facebook the moment in which the child was located and the heroism of the two dogs in the family. "They have done their job," said Marshal's mother.
