The central police station in Seoul said on the 17th that it was arresting and investigating a passenger wearing a mask who did not comply with the bus driver's request to get off the bus.

According to the police, Male A took a city bus at 3 pm on the 15th of this month without a mask at a stop near the Community Center in Yaksu-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul.

The bus driver stopped the car and asked Mr. A to get off, but Mr. A stayed with the driver for 30 minutes, without stopping.

At that time, there were about 10 passengers on the bus in addition to Mr. A, and all of them got off when Mr. A did not operate the bus.

Mr. A was arrested as a current criminal by the police dispatched by a bus driver.

It was investigated that Mr. A had a mask with a string that was dropped at the time.

A police official said, "We will continue to respond seriously to matters that do not respond to the driver's right to refuse to ride the mask and to interfere with public transportation."

In order to prevent the spread of Corona19, the government has allowed drivers to restrict or deny boarding when buses or taxis are used by unmasked passengers since the 26th of last month.
