Starting next month, workers who have left unpaid leave for more than 30 days due to Corona 19 may receive up to 1.5 million won per person from the government.

Minister of Employment and Labor Lee Jae-gap visited all tour companies today (10th) and said, "We plan to expand the'unpaid leave rapid support program that was applied only to the special employment support industry to the general industry from July 1st."

The Rapid Paid Leave Program is a project included in the Special Measures for Employment Security announced by the government in response to the Corona 19 incident in April. Payments are made for up to 3 months.

Since the end of April, the Ministry of Labor has been implementing a rapid unpaid leave support program for industries designated as special employment support industries because of concerns that employment will drop sharply.

The general industry was decided to go into effect next month after revision of related laws and regulations.

In order to receive the subsidy, it must be confirmed that the employer has agreed to take one or more months of paid leave after the first of the following month, and that the worker has paid unpaid leave for 30 days or more.

The Ministry of Labor will begin accepting applications soon.

Those who receive the unpaid leave support program are not eligible for the'Corona 19 Emergency Employment Security Assistance'.

The Emergency Employment Security Assistance is intended for special employment workers such as teachers of study papers, freelancers, small business owners, and unpaid employees.

Among the unpaid leave, the Ministry of Labor believes that small-scale workplace workers will be eligible for emergency employment security subsidies.

Lee's visit to Today's All Tour was held to listen to the opinions of the industry, which is making efforts to maintain employment through leave of absence with government support despite the management crisis following the Corona 19 crisis.

All tours started taking paid leave in March when sales fell sharply from February this year due to the Corona 19 incident, and unpaid leave is also starting from last month.

Up to 70% of executive salaries are returned and a four-day work week is implemented to overcome the crisis through labor-management cooperation.
