When capturing a sunset with your smartphone, the captured photo or video records a lot of metadata. Among this information, we can notably find the date on which the photo was taken, but also the place. Data that can be problematic when we want to share social media with our artistic talents.
Indeed, it does not always make sense to share where you are or where you often visit. Fortunately, it is possible to control what you share in your private life, including its location.
On iPhone and iPad, it is possible to deactivate the sharing of the location of a photo or video. From the Photos app, select the one you want to share and press the share button. Before validating the distribution of your photo or video on the canvas, select the option button at the top right and deactivate the "Localization" option. You just have to choose the network or the method with which to share your snapshot.
You can also choose to disable sharing of all metadata for your photos and videos. To do this, go to the settings of your smartphone or tablet: Confidentiality> Location services> Camera and never select. Well, that's it.
