The investigation for "sequestration followed by death" on the disappearance in 1993 of Lydie Logé, 29 years old, in the Orne, will be led by the Parisian judge Sabine Kheris. She is already responsible for investigating the disappearances of Estelle Mouzin, Joanna Parrish and Marie-Angèle Domece. Cases in which Michel Fourniret is under investigation.

The Court of Cassation accepted on Tuesday that the investigation into the 1993 disappearance in the Orne by Lydie Logé, 29, in which the serial killer Michel Fourniret was taken into police custody in November, be disoriented in Paris, learned AFP from a judicial source. This expatriation request came from the public prosecutor's office of Caen, which considered it appropriate that this judicial information, opened for "sequestration followed by death", be attached to the investigation file targeting Michel Fourniret and directed by the investigating judge Sabine Kheris. The Parisian judge is already in charge of the investigations into the disappearances of Estelle Mouzin, Joanna Parrish and Marie-Angèle Domece, for which Michel Fourniret is under investigation.

Investigations relaunched following DNA analyzes

On December 18, 1993, Lydie Logé disappeared in Saint-Christophe-le-Jajolet, in the Orne department. His body has never been found. While two investigations, from 1994 to 1998 and then from 2004 to 2009, had resulted in dismissals, the investigations were reopened in 2018 due to reconciliations established between the DNA traces from organic compounds found in Michel Fourniret's van and the DNA of an ascendant from Lydie Logé.

"A possible journey by Michel Fourniret in the Orne"

In November 2019, Michel Fourniret and his ex-wife Monique Olivier, who are both serving prison terms, were placed in police custody in connection with this case.

A few days after these police custody, which made it possible to establish "a possible path for Michel Fourniret in the Orne which he does not dispute" according to the Caen prosecution, the investigations were entrusted to an investigating judge.
