The prototype of the house printed in 3D - Prvok

Czech engineers are currently finalizing what will be the first 3D printed house model in the country. The project called Prvok is in fact a floating variation of "tiny house", a small ecological and economical home. The accommodation of approximately 43 square meters will be built on a pontoon but it is also adaptable to dry land, says Business Insider France . The printing of the first elements of construction begins this month.

Here is the prototype of the Czech house Prvok: a 43 m3 cell built by a 3D printer in just 48 hours, with cement reinforced with polymers. Better yet, this eco-friendly habitat, self-sufficient in energy, is also floating, practical for the holidays… pic.twitter.com/eIOXE076nk

To build Prvok, specialists use Scoolpt, a robotic 3D printing arm. "The computer reads the data, as a prime contractor did before, and guides the nozzle to the desired location with accuracy to the nearest millimeter," say project leaders on their website.

Green building

Thanks to this technology, the creation of architect Michal Trpak and the Burinka company can be produced in 48 hours, seven times faster than conventional houses. All at a cost representing half the budget required for construction by traditional methods. With 3D printing, carbon dioxide emissions are also reduced by 20%.

The house can be lived in all year round and has a bedroom, a kitchen-living room and a shower room. It is designed to last at least 100 years and offer its occupants partial self-sufficiency and environmentally friendly equipment. For example, reservoirs are provided for drinking water and water for pipes, while the shower is equipped with a recycling system.
