Today (8th), the Korea Meteorological Administration announced that an earthquake of magnitude 2.1 occurred at 17 km south-west of Gimcheon-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, around 0:52:10 am.

The epicenter is 36.01 degrees north latitude, 128.01 degrees east longitude, and the depth of the earthquake is 5 km.

The Korea Meteorological Administration urged people to pay attention to safety by saying, "The area near the earthquake can feel vibration."

The magnitude of this earthquake was observed in Gyeongbuk, Jeonbuk, and Chungbuk regions Ⅲ, and in Gyeongnam regions Ⅱ.

Gagejindo Ⅲ is the level of vibration that the car standing on the high floor of the building, especially at a high level, notices and shakes slightly, while Gimjindo Ⅱ is the level that only a few people on the high floor of a quiet place or building feel.
