A business owner bought land to do a landscaping project, but the water was not draining well, so when he dug the ground, construction waste such as rubber and cement poured out. It turns out that a subcontractor who built the KTX line 10 years ago installed the factory here and was buried in the ground when it was demolished.

is a farmland in Ulju-gun, Ulsan. In February, Jung Mo, who was planning to buy land and do landscaping projects, was in crisis.

As the water did not drain well, the ground was dug, and construction waste such as vinyl and rubber as well as waste materials were poured out.

The area of this land is close to 6,000 square meters.

It is estimated that 50 to 60 tons of waste concrete or cement is added to the waste rocks.

The troubled land was borrowed by a subcontractor that worked on the KTX track for the past four years since 2006 as a factory site for producing concrete, and Ulju-gun estimated it as waste from the construction process at the time.

[Jung Mo/ Land Owner: As you can see, I can't even farm now... That's why we can't plant any crops.]

Mr. Jung tried to find and pick the subcontractor, but the company had already gone bankrupt four years ago, and the original contractor said that it was irrelevant.

[Person in charge of the original company: When contracting, the original company is supposed to do everything. There is no way we can do this, in this situation.] It

is also the position that Ulju-gun has no responsibility for permitting factories in this land and confirming that they have been properly restored afterwards.

[Wolju County Office officials: Like the previous site, it is well leveled, and then we are completed. However, we cannot confirm what is buried.]

Special judicial police officers in Ulju-gun are investigating, but it is unclear whether they will be able to find the person responsible for the illegal landfill that occurred 10 years ago.

[If you don't know that you have buried this and restored it, the person who farms us... .]
