“Failure to vaccinate when vaccines themselves are available is dangerous because it can reverse the progress that has been made in the fight against vaccine-preventable diseases,” she said.

Earlier, in the Central Research Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Russia conducted preclinical trials of a vaccine from COVID-19 on monkeys and hamsters. 

In addition, the first group of volunteer troops who arrived to prepare for vaccine trials underwent an in-depth medical examination. 

As noted in the Cabinet of Russia, mass vaccination in the country may begin in the fall.
