On the afternoon of the 29th, an urgent voice began to be heard at the 2nd basement floor of Icheon Logistics Warehouse.

[A fire extinguisher, a fire extinguisher, a fire extinguisher.]

After a moment, a man comes out and urges to report 119.

[Call 119! (Fire extinguisher) Bring it fast!]

Workers outside the building come running with fire extinguishers, but the flames quickly cover the second basement level and poisonous gas quickly covers the field.

It is only 20 seconds after the fire starts.

[Lee Young-ju / Professor, Department of Fire and Disaster Prevention, Seoul National University: When the urethane foam part caught fire, it first climbed up to the ceiling surface on the wall, and the urethane burned down on the ceiling surface and burned quickly. I think.] The

fire authorities who participated in the identification recorded in the fire report that they found cigarette packs and cigarette butts along with igniting devices such as oxygen cutting machines, torch and arc welding machines.

The possibility of smoking was found in sparkling work at the urethane foam work site where steam is generated.

In fact, on the second basement floor, dilution of urethane foam, installation of elevators, and installation of ducts, which are a kind of air passage, took place at the same time.

For this reason, the fire department believes that the fire spread as the igniter or cigarette igniter, such as the oxygen welder in the workplace, was transferred to the urethane foam.

In addition, on the second floor above the ground, where the largest number of deaths were found, all 18 people were found to have suffocated in and around the cooking room.
