A caregiver at a residential facility for dependent elderly people (Ehpad) in Paris was arrested for the rape of a 92-year-old resident, we learned Monday from concordant sources. The 60-year-old man was taken into custody as part of an investigation into rape of a vulnerable person, according to the Paris prosecutor's office, which confirms information from the daily Le Parisien .
The investigation was entrusted to the 2nd judicial police district (2nd DPJ) of Paris.
A caregiver gave the alert
It was a nursing assistant from Epahd located in the XIIth arrondissement of Paris who gave the alert after having surprised the suspect in the victim's room, confirmed a police source. The man was arrested, while he was trying to escape, by the police, who was informed by the director of the establishment.
The victim, in shock, was hospitalized.
