This platform was born as a solution to file sharing and contact synchronization. Then it began to grow, adding options such as writing text messages, seeing notifications from different mobile applications and even taking calls from the computer (as long as it has Bluetooth).

Being aware that there are still some features pending to implement, the latest update of this application comes with a function as striking as it is practical, a playback control. We refer to the option of controlling from the computer what is being played on the mobile.

A function that for now will not be available to everyone but that will be implemented in the coming weeks to more users, as well as expanding the list of services compatible with this function. For now it works with Pandora, Amazon Music, Spotify, Google Play Music, Xiami Music, YouTube Music and Google Podcast.

Returning to the interface of the Your Phone application, what will appear integrated in it is a mini player, similar to the music controls that Windows 10 already incorporates, with which we can play, pause, advance and rewind episodes or songs, nothing from the other world, simply functional.

It also includes a dropdown to select the playback application that we want to control and, as it already does with the mobile phone wallpaper, the application synchronizes the album cover or the cover of what is being played.

The usefulness of this already depends on each user, for example, in the case of podcasts, it saves us from having to install more programs on the PC and offers the convenience of not having to unlock and take the phone to stop or control playback. .

Something to keep in mind if we are working on the computer, facilitating not stopping the moment of labor productivity and at the same time, keeping away also from the temptation that can be the mobile phone with the web of all the installed social networks.

In order to enjoy this function in the Your Phone application in the Microsoft Store, it must be updated to version 1.20041.85. Likewise, the sister app for Android must be version 1.20041.82. As for the terminals, this service is compatible with versions of Android 7.0 Nougat or higher and, in the case of computers, the requirement is to have a version of Windows 10 October 2018 or later.

In addition to the new features introduced in this integrated ecosystem within the Google operating system, Microsoft has included information about coronavirus in the search results in Windows 10 (hosted in the taskbar). Two shortcuts appear in the drop-down, one to the interactive map of Bing that shows the coronavirus data (infected, cured and deaths) worldwide and in real time, being able to navigate by countries, provinces, states or cities.
