The trial of former President Chun Doo-hwan (89), accused of damaging the defamation of the victims of the May 18 Democratization Movement, began on the 27th.

The trial was held at 2:00 pm on the same day at the criminal justice court of the Gwangju District Court 201 Criminal Justice of the 8th Detective Kim Jeong-hoon.

Mr. Jeon arrived at the Gwangju District Court at 12:19 on the day and got off the car and walked into the building holding the hand of the bodyguard, but it was not particularly uncomfortable.

Mrs. Lee Sun-ja, the wife who asked to be present as a trusted person, also moved.

Mr. Jeon went into the building without answering the reporter's question as to why he was not responsible.

The reporter asked Jeon, "Why don't you reflect on so many sins? Why aren't you responsible for the deaths of thousands of people?" But she turned without looking back and followed the bodyguard.

Mr. Jeon did not attend and submit a ground for non-attendance due to health reasons since attending a trial last year for an accreditation newspaper, but the trial process changed as the judge changed.

In this day's trial, it is expected that all statements of accredited newspapers and prosecutors confirming the identity of the accused, statements of the defendant's position, and submission of a list of evidence are expected.
