Prosecutors investigating suspicions over the merger between Samsung C & T and Cheil Industries today (23rd) re- summoned Kim Jong-jung, the former president of the Samsung Future Strategy Office.

The Seoul Central District Attorney's Office for Economic Crime and Criminal Justice (Lee Bok-hyun, Lee) summoned President Kim this morning to investigate the overall decision-making process within the Group's head of leadership when Samsung C & T and Cheil Industries merged in 2015.

Prosecutors have called on these and other senior executives, including Samsung, both current and current, to investigate whether the merger was made as part of the reorganization of corporate governance to succeed management vice president Lee Jae-yong (52) of Samsung Electronics.

Yesterday, the CEO of Samsung Biologics, Kim Tae-han (63), related to 'suspecting of accounting for food' was investigated by the prosecution.

The prosecution is said to plan to finalize the investigation into suspicion of merger by next month and decide whether to punish the main suspects.
