After the election, various promotional materials, which are likely to become useless, will be re-manufactured with eco bags or sacks.

Today (9th), the Ministry of Environment announced that it is working with local governments to recycle banners and printed materials left after the general election. This is to minimize the incineration of waste generated by elections.

Considering that the number of banners used in the local elections in 2018 reached 140,000 across the country, it is expected that this election will produce the same amount.
The Ministry of Environment noted that placards, etc., are mostly synthetic fibers made of polyester and cotton, so they can be recycled using shopping carts or cleaning bags.

In accordance with this recycling policy, each local government will remove the placard from the political parties and candidates, request it for collection, and send it to the Center for Resource Recovery to provide free fabrics to local recycling companies and social enterprises.

The Ministry of Environment said, "We will actively seek out the demand for recycling for waste and promote various cooperation projects with local governments to increase the recycling rate."
