This year's 99-year-old 6-25 veteran grandfather released 20 million won of merit allowance collected for decades as a fund to overcome Corona19.

Seogwipo City stated that the couple of Kwanseop Joo (99) and Youngsoon Baek (82) visited Seogwipo City on the 8th and deposited 20 million won.

The funds delivered on this day were collected by Mr. Joo by saving the National Merit Allowance for the Korean War.

These couples have lived in a reasonable amount of time and wanted to spend their savings where they were needed.

The grandfather of the week said, "I've only been helped by the country for a while," and "I looked at the vulnerable groups who were struggling with the Corona 19 situation, and now I thought I wanted to give back the love I received, so I deposited money."

In March, these couples practiced love for their neighbors by donating 4 million won to the Jeju Social Welfare Community Chest and 1 million won to the Senior Association of Donghong-dong, Seogwipo-si.

The main grandfather was from North Korea and descended south during the Korean War.

Since then, he participated in the Korean Armed Forces and was recognized as a national military service.

I met my grandmother Baek in Seoul and got married and came down to Jeju 30 years ago.
